I would have thought the best starting point was unlocking the phone, given the owner is dead and committed horrific crimes.



Apple do not have the ability to unlock the phone. They have the ability to create a tool that could unlock any iPhone. That is not a starting point.


Therefore they have the ability to unlock the phone. I mean I knew people defended Apple here but I didn't think they'd demand logic no longer works to satisfy that.


I would start with anything available, dig deep, and never give up. Including breaking down the doors of anyone they texted or called.
