I typically organize my structured thoughts into my favorite text editor (vim) in markdown, which gets synced to the cloud. I can search these notes, tag them, and read rich previews.

When it comes to sharing those thoughts, I'll post a gist or toss it into a Notion file.

Is there any real benefit to something like Evernote? The only thing I can think of is sharing with others.
