Right now your Amber Alerts can either be on or off. Most people I know turn those off after their first 3am wake up siren.

Any Apple/Google employees here that could help explain why there aren't more options such as:

* Off

* On

* On, but respect Do Not Disturb. When you wake up you can get a list of alerts that happened overnight like the rest of the notifications

* On, but only while moving/driving. Next time you connect to your car you can get a list of alerts

I realize that time is critical and the hours until you wake up or begin to drive may be too late, but given the alternative of no alerts at all, surely something is better than nothing for 1) catching up and 2) getting active alerts when you elected to receive them
