I've never even read a lick of Berserk, nor have I seen the anime.
Still, I think I can understand the tragedy that befalls a community when the author passes away before the story is complete.
I cannot read the original Japanese, but the English Translation (appearing halfway down the page), especially of Kouji Mori (the new lead writer of Berserk) seems very heartfelt to me. I wish them luck, to finish the story for the fanbase.
I'm sure that other fanbases (Wheel of Time) have been through similar events, where the author's untimely passing forces someone else to finish the story on their behalf. Its always a challenge but hopefully what they deliver here will be worthwhile.
