This conference was led by Stephen Diehl and Darren Tseng, two of the three founders of Adjoint Inc, a private permissioned blockchain company that competes with public permissionless blockchains. The company was developed on the back of crypto funded research. Why do they not mention their conflict of interest?
It's not a "conflict of interest" to have started work on a blockchain thing, and then realised it was garbage.
Or are you claiming that having ever touched a blockchain means you can't criticise it later? That sounds silly. Particularly as the other favourite objection to blockchain critics is that they haven't touched it.
