I'm not very familiar with how the whole VC cycle works, but I've always been curious...

When a company gets funding from a VC, what is it typically used for? Is it mostly a fat raise for the founders, or is it spent on infrastructure for the business? other stuff?

I'm especially curious to hear from people who have actually received investments, about how they use it.... (if they're willing to talk about it).
