Is my product value proposition clear enough? (questmate.com)

Are you really selling a sign in system?

Yes and no. I’m selling the product that is used to build these kind of workflow experiences, as well as list based ones. But selling a horizontal product is hard, therefore we’re marketing some specific use-cases first. Visitor management is along the top use-cases our paying customers use Questmate for.

I have numerous problems with it.

For instance (1) its not immediately clear if this is "sign in to an office" or "sign in to a web site", (2) the last thing I want to do is type in my email address into a poorly motivated web demo, (3) there is no visual indication that I could scroll down to see what this is all about.

I grant though that selling the horizontal product is a challenge. Maybe your target customer sees it differently but that sign in form is something I could code up in less than an hour, it would look like hell and would take me another hour or two to improve it, there are other people who are better at web design and could have it looking great that quickly.

I'd like to see a demo of something that's actually hard or where your product delivers real value because a non-expert could make simple changes to it and have it be... simple.

Thank you, that’s great advice. The whole flow can be easily customized by non-experts via our Quest editor, which includes automations. There’s also a low-code integration path which allows to have dropdowns powered by data coming from elsewhere, send submission data to Google Sheets, Airtable or any other API really.

I’ve added some notes to the step that this is a demo and that you can be creative with your name and email.

I’ll further change the title to make sure it’s clear for signing in somewhere physically.

Thanks again!
