I became concerned by signals newish auto-updating feature.
I dont like to keep allowing "Install unknown apps" then disabling "Install unknown apps" after every update. Its so annoying.
I considered Molly (foss) as an alternative to signal but SimpleX chat without using a phone number appealed to my thinking around privacy.
It took a short while to understand how to add contacts but as with using anything new it has now resolved itself and become part of my routine.
The audit was great and of course 3 out of 4 issues have been rectified and the one outstanding is in process
