Stolen open-source project sold for $75M (twitter.com/spatialweeb)

A casual look doesn't really show what was stolen by whom from where.

> As part of the deal, the two companies engaged in a share-for-share exchange

Is this one of those things where each company has an incentive to massively overvalue the other's stock, and by extension their own?

"BRB, I'm going to trade my shiny pebble worth $50m for my friend's shiny pebble which is also worth $50m, but I might be willing to part with it for a mere $1 million to the right buyer."

His xrengine is a fork of the sold Ethereal Engine.

This branch is 18912 commits ahead of, 3626 commits behind EtherealEngine/etherealengine:dev.

https://github.com/xr-foundation/XREngine

Both MIT licensed.

So on my first glance he seems to be angry that his improved version didn't get the 75M, but the original project. "stolen"? Not so
