40% of Companies Will Use AI to 'Interview' Job Applicants, Report (ibtimes.co.uk)

In response to the evolving landscape of recruitment, 40 companies have embraced artificial intelligence (AI) for job applicant interviews, marking a transformative shift in hiring practices. AI-driven interview platforms offer employers a dynamic toolset to streamline the assessment process. Algorithms analyze candidate responses, facial expressions, and linguistic cues, accelerating recruitment timelines and enhancing objectivity.

40 is not 40%, which is it?

I don't know how to feel about this. The AI will almost certainly have some unexpected extreme biases, and interview processes are already arduous.

On the other hand, we know about prompt injection, so some candidates will mysteriously slip through the AI. Others will find the real reason they're being rejected.

This seems like a fad that will have bad effects all around.

If they're doing that, it seems fair for the candidates to use AI to answer the interview questions.

Fair enough
