Apologies in advance for my potential ignorance, but watching another Rabbit r1 device [1] review [2] in anticipation of my own one arriving, and was just thinking, whether it could potentially be a powerful assisting device for people who are blind or severely visually impaired etc. due to some of these features;
- can point it at stuff and ask what it is
- can point it at stuff and give it instructions (read this, summarise this, tell me what I can make with these ingredients etc etc)
I believe I’ve heard that the iPhone has some basic object recognition features but this seems like an entirely next level.
Bear in mind I’d say this is a v1 “prototype” (or at least early adopter) device (which the reviewer seems to barely get) so it’s not easy for everyone to set up perhaps, but once set up it seems very easy to use.
Anyways, just a thought in case it helps anyone, and keen to hear what others think (since I’m no expert and it was just a fleeting thought that I wanted to put out there)
