Not to be confused with Thinking Machines Corporation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thinking_Machines_Corporation

"Thinking Machines Corporation was a supercomputer manufacturer and artificial intelligence (AI) company, founded in Waltham, Massachusetts, in 1983 by Sheryl Handler and W. Daniel "Danny" Hillis to turn Hillis's doctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on massively parallel computing architectures into a commercial product named the Connection Machine."

Or the Manilla-based Thinking Machines Data Science, which also seems to be focused on the AI space: https://thinkingmachin.es

The Connection Machine was a very interesting architecture, for its time.

Plus it looked cool---the CM-2, with all its blinkenlights, is particularly awesome.

"Thinking Machines" evokes some deep AI history.
