Their actions?

You mean like hoarding wealth?

If you're here, you're richer than 99% of the people on Earth. Enjoy the upcoming class war; it may hold a few surprises for you.

I don't have a yacht with a smaller yacht inside.

I didn't buy a chair at my alma mater.

My brother is deep in student loan debt. I skipped college because I couldn't afford to work and go to school.

I keep a collection of screws because they're expensive otherwise.

I can barely keep the lights on as a software dev.

Sure, I eat better than someone from halfway around the world. But likewise we're both being taken advantage of by people of higher social and economic status and deprived of basic needs. We all desire an end to the hierarchy of abuse regardless of where on the totem of who-has-it-worse we are. Now go eat your rice, there are starving kids in Kentucky.

Am I?

The poorest member of the world's richest 1% has wealth starting from around $800,000 to $1 million USD.

That's about 20 times my net wealth.

This surprise - does it involve another tax cut for the super rich?

I'll wager if you asked most people what they think "rich" is, the number they pick would not include the vast majority of people posting here on good ol' orange website.

Class war is bad for everyone, yes, but it's a bit silly to generalize and pretend every tech worker is rich just because they pull down high five or low six figures. Doing well, certainly. Not millionaires.

The issue is their intuition for the general case is actually gathered from a special case.

You need examples that point at the general case - like Newton's cradle.

Conservation of momentum helps.

You should have asked the head of languages to teach you tensor calculus.

I don’t have a firm opinion one way or another about that idea that a “great teacher can teach any subject” but it does bring to my mind the other idea that teachers are increasingly becoming “learning coaches” who aren’t only transferring knowledge into the students, but who are rather encouraging them to develop self-awareness about their own learning.

That concept of teaching seems like a nice idea in a private school setting but wildly incompatible with most schools in the Anglosphere.

Claiming control of citizens speech when you have a president literally censoring your media is kind of ridiculous.

The claim free speech is under threat in Europe just demonstrates you are easily led by rabble rousers.

I'm assuming you are a hunter because your gathering skills suck.

The UK has been badly managed for as long as I've been alive, which is half a century.

This isn't party political. The tories have been worse than Labour in many respects but it's a shit show all round imo.

But then where hasn’t been? When I was born we were poorer than all of France, Japan, and Italy on a per capita basis and now we are not. We have broadly kept pace with US growth since the end of world war 2. We have failed to figure out strategies to close the gap with the US by growing faster but we are doing no worse.

"we are doing no worse" : is that the royal we? Because normal people absolutely are doing a lot worse over that last couple of decades.

I fear “we are not the richest country in the world” is an unreasonable standard for claiming chronic mismanagement.

Again with the "we". Per capita statistics are great distraction from neofeudalism.

What was the per capita GDP of Wessex?

I’m sorry but this is the best way to objectively measure anything. Otherwise you are just holding up your vibes to refute my numbers which is completely unscientific.

Numbers exist mate.

The fact you don't know about them isn't my problem.

Dividing the kings wealth by the number of serfs in his kingdom doesn't make the serfs any richer.

Royal Dutch Shell for the win!

This is coming from someone that voted in an authoritarian regime isn't it. Irony is very ironic.

Let me guess, it was Alex Jones.

Did he fall out of a window?

Ah. This is it, folks. You're a liar and you project your lies. Incapable of realising how people have lived shit in history.

Go google "disappeared people in military dictatorships" and maybe, just maybe, you'll learn something about authoritians and how they dealt with "subversives".

Not everyone here lives in the US.

Your account is 17 hours old and you want to find the "enemy within". Aren't you the enemy within?

Demosntate you're not a foreign actor, according to your own rules, post your full name and address. Or maybe that's a stupid thing to do and anonymity is valuable?

Very ironic.

I actually am a foreign actor (effectively like your own president). I'm British.

Jones is a rabble rouser, as is most of the "right" in the US. You'd do well to learn how to spot them, and like your president, he's only interested with stuffing his pockets with money.

Enjoy your fascism - comes with a free side of disappearing people. I'm sure you'll be Pinchoeted in no time at all based on your narrative once it's all locked in.
